GAS RETURNS TO MOTOGP WITH PRIMA PRAMAC RACING TEAM AND LAUNCHES “GAS SPORT” BRAND

Milan, ITALY – February 29, 2024 – Gas, an internationally renowned Italian clothing brand, is pleased to announce its return to MotoGP. The brand, with a twenty-year history in motorcycling, re-enters the scene significantly by supporting the Ducati Prima Pramac Racing team after a four-year hiatus. On this occasion, GAS also launches the new brand “Gas Sport” to consolidate and strengthen its connection with the world of sports, to which the brand has always been deeply attached.

After many years, the iconic denim brand makes its comeback in the MotoGP world with a completely revamped approach. The brand has stated its intention not to abandon its roots but to evolve, supporting Prima Pramac Racing in unveiling a new look for the team, winners of the Team World Championship, a first in history for an Independent Team.

Gas has worked intensively to completely redesign the team’s image and clothing: the result is a collection of competition teamwear with high technical content, high performance, and great attention to the choice of materials, as well as an urban travel-line collection, versatile and fashionable, embracing current trends with more relaxed volumes. This revamping of the team’s image will involve mechanics, engineers, assistants, other crew members, and of course, the riders themselves, radically transforming the team’s appearance. The signature of Gregoria Carmagnini is recognizable for her almost obsessive attention to detail and aesthetic rigor, aspects that characterize the style of the Creative Director who has introduced fashion, women, elegance, and simplicity as cardinal points of the restyling of GAS.

The collaboration between GAS and Prima Pramac Racing Team was officially presented on February 28 in Bahrain on the eve of the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The event was an opportunity to unveil the livery of the bikes for the 2024 season and the team’s image and clothing, under the GAS brand. The partnership resulted from dialogue between Rino Castiglione, President & CEO of Gas, and Paolo Campinoti, Team Principal of Prima Pramac Racing, both present at the event. A partnership strongly desired by both parties.

Along with the line for the Prima Pramac Racing Team, Gas also presents the fashion capsule that it wanted in a completely disruptive way compared to the past and to the traditional language of the motorsport world, proposing a visual with an extremely fashion-oriented and strong female presence, demonstrating the chic connotation of the garments (as demonstrated by the Jumpsuit element) and the brand’s inclination to give more space to women within its collections and communication.

The “Gas Sport” brand, launched on this occasion, will be dedicated to future collaborations, sponsorships, and targeted capsule collections aimed at supporting and enhancing the world of sports in general, even beyond MotoGP. To ensure adequate visibility for these initiatives, the brand has planned the creation of a dedicated section on its website, where every future project related to this area will have its own dedicated space.

Gas is committed to continuing and expanding its initiatives in the world of sports, confirming its role as a dynamic and innovative partner on the international stage.
